Don’t let a few
missed games fool you. Kyrie is most definitely still an MVP contender. With
many NBA stars taking games off for “load management”, this is simply the
Brooklyn Nets’ attempt at being cautious with their star player. Bettors also
need to be follow and be aware of the value in betting on the Nets win total as
the season rolls along.
The Nets are will
find it tough to generate offense without their superstar guard. Brooklyn is
extremely dependent on three players to create plays for them. The combination
of Irving, Caris Levert, and Spencer Dinwiddle has accounted for over 49
percent of the Nets assists this season, and over 48 percent of their points.
With news breaking that the promising Levert will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks
with a thumb injury, things are not looking good for Brooklyn.
Brooklyn suffered a
disappointing blowout loss to the Pacers on Monday night. Losing 115-86 should
be an eye opener for any team. More importantly, it should be a huge red flag
for Nets bettors on life without the services of Kyrie and Kevin Durant.
Life Without Kyrie and Without Durant is Not Much of a Life
If Kyrie were to miss
any extended period of time this season, the Nets can kiss any hope of a
playoff spot goodbye. Bettors should take note that Kyrie is irreplaceable on
this roster and proceed with their tickets accordingly.
Sharp bettors should
be on the lookout for is a drop in price for the Nets win total should Kyrie
miss games in the future. A few contests off for “load management” may turn out
to be a blessing for betting win totals. If Dinwiddle and Levert can get any
sort of help from the likes of Taurean Prince and Joe Harris-the Nets will be
in good shape.
The NBA will hope
that Uncle Drew can return to full health as quickly as possible, as a marquee
matchup on Wednesday awaits. Kyrie and the Nets will make his return to Boston
for the first time since leaving this summer in free agency. An energy fueled
matchup will be just the showcase Kyrie needs to make his case as a Most
Valuable Player front runner.
