After four long
summer months NBA Basketball is finally back! With a plethora of player
movement and perhaps the most monumental free agency since
Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors, the NBA… is B-A-C-K! While the 2019-20 season may be the most hyped
of this decade, it was Kyrie Irving who ensured the game came back with a
splash.
Irving began his
Brooklyn Nets career with an epic 50 point, 8 rebound, 7 assist masterpiece in
a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Uncle Drew was up to his old tricks,
scoring on a number of nearly impossible layups. He hit clutch shot after clutch shot down the stretch, keeping his team
in the game. If not for a slip on the final play, he may have willed his team
to victory in a contest they had no business being in.
To the surprise of no
one, Kyrie is on fire in his new home. Through three games in the black and
white, Irving is averaging 37.7 points per game, along with 5.7 rebounds and
6.3 assists. He’s currently shooting 45% from the field, but more importantly he has begun the season shooting 41% from
the three-point line. Uncle Drew will be relied upon as the go-to option in
this Nets team for them to have any chance at beating the top teams in the NBA.
Think Kryie going to take the NBA MVP?

That translates to a
whole lot of value on betting Kyrie Irving for NBA MVP. If the opening week is
any indication, he will have to have a god-like season for the Nets to contend. Bet on him immediately
before the odds decrease from +3300. Your wallet will be grateful at the end of
the year.
As far as prop bets
for Brooklyn, bettors would be wise to keep an eye on the win total. Currently
sitting at 45.5, there is definitely value in betting the over. The Nets went
from 28 to 42 victories a year ago, and with Irving and rebounder
extraordinaire DeAndre Jordan in tow, they should slip passed that mark with
flying colours. The Nets now have the perfect blend of a young ascending core,
and superstar veteran talent. Amazing what one off-season can do for a
franchise. Bet the Nets over before the total rises.
