New Jersey Betting and Taylor Hall Odds for the Hart Trophy

NHL hockey is almost back, and that means the New Jersey Devils are getting ready for another season. After a major overhaul this offseason, the Devils are looking better than ever to make a run this upcoming season.

At the center of that run will be Taylor Hall. Hall struggled with injuries during the 2018-19 season, but after surgeries and rehab, he has a chance to put the Devils on his back in the 2019-20 season. He could even make a run at the 2020 Hart Trophy.

Even though he missed most of last season, Hall still had great numbers in the games he played in. He scored 11 goals and added 26 assists for 37 points in 33 games. If you extrapolate that to a full 82-game season, Hall was on pace for 27 goals and 65 assists for 92 points; one less than when he won the Hart Trophy in 2018.

Taylor Hall’s odds to win the Hart Trophy should be rather good for those looking to bet on the New Jersey Devils in 2019-20. He is not at the front of mind for many, and an injury-ravaged season has knocked him down a peg or two in the eyes of some. However, after putting up 93 points to win the Hart Trophy in 2018, you shouldn’t rule him out.

The Devils added a lot of players to help support Taylor Hall in the 2019-20 season. They traded for P.K. Subban to shore up the defense, they signed veteran winger Wayne Simmonds for some size and snarl up front, and they drafted Jack Hughes after lucking into the first overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Those players will keep the Devils in contention, allowing Hall to shine in the spotlight and make a run at the Hart Trophy.

The Metropolitan Division will be a beast this season after an offseason of change, but the Devils should be right in the thick of it. Taylor Hall will be right there as the face of the Devils as the New Jersey hockey club looks to make it back to the playoffs.
